I am delighted to welcome you to Bass Coast Specialist School.

   Located approximately two hours from Melbourne and close to the Wonthaggi town centre, our school offers a wide range of     learning experiences for all students.

   Bass Coast Specialist School is unique in that it provides the learning opportunities and challenges of a larger metropolitan         school while maximising the benefits of our beautiful rural setting.

   We are committed to fostering strong relationships within the school and the broader community, ensuring that every student      feels connected, valued, and a genuine part of their community.

   Our specialised approach to education is supported by a dedicated team of more than 30 specialist teachers, educational         support staff, and allied health professionals.

With a student population of over 70 students, we provide an extensive range of learning opportunities tailored to individual needs. These needs are identified through collaboration between school staff, students, and families.

Our vision is to communicate, be kind, be safe, and be lifelong learners. This vision guides all members of our school community, from our youngest students at five years of age through to our senior students aged eighteen. 

These values are equally important for our staff and visitors, and they reflect my own personal commitment as Principal.
